This privacy statement is intended to inform the users of this website about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the website of the Initiative Awareness e.V. in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act and the Telemedia Act.

The Awareness Insitut and the Initiative Awareness take your data protection very seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions.

The Awareness Institute together with the Initiative Awareness or the Internet hosting provider of this website, who operates the Internet hosting services for this website on behalf of the Initiative Awareness e.V. – collects data on accesses to this website. The website provider stores these as “server log files”. The following data is logged in this way:

The data collected is only used for statistical analysis and to improve the website. The Awareness Insitut together with the Initiative Awareness only collects, uses and discloses your personal data if this is permitted or necessary within the legal framework or if you consent to the collection of the data. Your data will only be stored for periods necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose or for compliance with statutory periods of the obligation to retain and provide evidence.

Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally and that can be traced back to you – for example, your name, e-mail address and telephone number.

Handling of contact data

If you contact the Awareness Institute using the contact options provided, your details will be stored so that they can be used to process and respond to your enquiry. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent. If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. By using the contact form, data is also processed by the website provider. An order-processing agreement has been concluded with the website provider to protect your data.

Cookies are used on the pages of the Awareness Institute. These are small text files which are stored on your terminal device. Your browser accesses these files. We use the Google service reCaptcha to determine whether a human or a computer is making a certain entry in our contact form. Google uses the following data to check whether you are a human or a computer: IP address of the terminal device used, the website that you visit with us and on which the captcha is embedded, the date and duration of the visit, the recognition data of the browser and operating system type used, Google account if you are logged in to Google, mouse movements on the reCaptcha areas as well as tasks that require you to identify images. The legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6 (1) lit. f of the General Data Protection Regulation. There is a legitimate interest on our part in this data processing to ensure the security of our website and to protect us from automated entries (attacks).
